Mmm, I sort of started reading this, but after reading some lines an urge to write myself popped up, which manifested itself in this post. I guess what really sets Darwinian evolution and Intelligent Design apart is ’cause and effect’. Darwinian evolution assumes the whole of evolution is a story of cause and effect. This is the basis of science, not only the science of biology, but also geology, my field of experience. Intelligent Design, on the other hand, tries to explain evolution by inferring the helping hand of an ‘intelligence’, which, outside the boundaries of cause and effect, did some nice job in creating complex biology such as ourselves. Or was this creator bounded within the realm of cause and effect?
