WikiTranslate

I was thinking why people don’t start an online translation community? Would be nice to be able to translate open source books/articles this way. And I guess there could be also some password protected way of translating a copyrighted book. Some website of the publisher where you can log in and every registered user gets randomly a small book excerpt which they can translate. If someone else already did a translation then you’ll also see that and can make adjustments. Multiple translators can work together in this way. You must have read the book in the original language of course. The WikiTranslate idea has been thought up before, I found this site, but it’s not ready yet…

genius, that would be really funny..

  • You should check out our site – Wikitranslate.com. While you can’t translate a whole book, you can translate short passages by having the community look at them and correct the mistakes that Google Translate makes.
